About us

Gonçalo Coelho

Hello, I´m Gonçalo Coelho and I was born on the 10th May 1999 in Porto, Portugal.

I´m the middle child of a large family and during all of my childhood and adulthood I´ve been very fond of and headed towards technologies.

When I became 18 I finished High school at Escola Secundária de Vilela, in Paredes, more specifically in Science and Technologies.

After compulsory secondary school education, I entered university but I soon found out that it wasn´t for me at the time, so I dropped out and started working at Jerónimo Martins as a logistics operator.

Working a full-time job changed my views and opinions on society and myself. After I realized how hard life really was, I made up my mind and decided to try again and do the things wich I´m actually good and care for.

Currently I´m studying Foreign Languages and Cultures at the School of Education, of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto and improving my knowledge in new technologies.

Inês Duarte

Hello! My name is Inês Duarte, I´m 18 years old and I´m from Penafiel. Since a very young age I have shown a major interest in learning about new cultures and costumes, specially their languages, and because of that I decided that I wanted to take a degree in Foreign Languages and Cultures. Apart from cultures I also have a big interest in music, either just listening or playing some instruments, and online games, which also combines with cultures, since I´m always listening to songs from different places around the world and playing with some friends from other countries.

Hélder Magalhães

Hi, my name is Hélder Magalhães.

I’m a fort-year old student at ESE in my first year of the Languages and Foreign Cultures bachelor’s degree. In my spare time you can mostly find me in some park or green space doing outdoor activities. Waste, nature, and environment are current problems, I’m very concerned with those, and I do my best to have a minor environmental footprint impact.

Every week I am a volunteer for one afternoon in an association that fights against food waste, and tries to help local farmers,”Fruta Feia”.

I have lived abroad for many years. I have worked in France and Switzerland mostly with machineries and as a conditioning worker. The will for a change has been growing in me for quite some time, and now I believe the time has come. Voyages and foreign cultures have always been one of my passions, but now the objective is to finish my degree at ESE.
